On Tuesday, November 21, Madison celebrated the groundbreaking of the Concord at Sheridan. Riteway Madison LLC is the general contractor on this 199,000 sf, mixed-use, mixed-income development which includes 111 apartments and 125 below-grade parking spaces. The Concord will bring much needed housing and retail amenities, including a new flexible-format Target, to the Rogers Park community. The project is a result of a partnership between the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and Three Corners Development/Iceberg Development.
The Mayor, along with Alderman Moore, and representatives from IHDA, Target, and the development team attended the event. This project will create 450 construction and related jobs as well as 80 permanent jobs.
The Concord at Sheridan will be a transit-oriented development located steps from the CTA’s Loyola Red Line Station and is expected to be completed in February 2019.
